Introduction
First of all, Boston is a historical city that has tons of heritage and museums. Not only that, Boston also has skyscrapers that are perfectly merged with historical buildings, some of them are merged literally and some of them are exactly like traditional ones. This travel was made possible by my friend, and he guided me to the aquarium and freedom trail.
Flying to Boston
I could see so much beautiful scenery from the sky representing interesting city planning. Although it was foggy, on the other hand, it made them even more mystical.
Tampa
NYC
The River signifies the outline of the skyline and makes the night view more distinguished.
Providence
City design with a single core like Paris is quite beautiful when we look from the sky. I was lowering the altitude so we could see the city's illumination very clearly.
BOS Airport
Even though the airport's sky was covered with the dense mist. The plane managed to land without any clear sight. I think the landing was made possible by a radar guide which wasn't prevented by the mist.
The experience at Boston
Freedom Trail
The Freedom Trail is literally full of historical landmarks, and so dense that we could encounter astonishing architecture every 1-minute walk. I completed walking this path and everything I saw was so interesting.
Boston Common
We started to follow the freedom trail from this largest park.
So many squirrels are living in the park and they are so cute!
Boston Common is right next to many historical buildings and City Hall is one of them.
This church is also by the park. There were so many churches and I cannot distinguish.
Old City Hall
This gorgeous building is now renovated as a stake house, but it's surely expensive.
Faneuil Hall Marketplace
This market is almost 200 years old market place and a large food court is inside.
We bought lobster bread but it cost $30 and that was quite expensive even though it wasn't a sit-down restaurant.
USS Constitution
Historical ship with free admission.
3 story wooden ship and it's quite big as a completely wooden ship. This museum also comes with a free guided tour. The Boston people are represented in their debate. If the guide asks questions, the people always ask meaningful questions. This interaction is made possible by Boston's high level of education.
Historical Street
This kind of block base historical architecture was everywhere. Not only in the city center.
Skyscraper merged within Historical Street
While preserving those buildings. Boston is also focusing on building skyscrapers for business. Surprisingly those combinations are quite successful, and there is even a historical-style skyscraper. The tall building behind is as high as a contemporary skyscraper even though they have a stone layer.
This building is directly connected to a skyscraper while keeping its original face. Each building is visually and functionally seamlessly connected.
Aquarium
There was a cylinder-shaped 4 story aquarium in the center of the museum.
The New England Holocaust Memorial
Boston has also experienced countless conflicts. USS Constitution if also made for war and there was also a Holocaust by Natis. Many heritage are related to war and this is one of them. This site is completely free and we can experience hot steam as a part of this artwork.
Conclusion
Boston is so rich in history there are so many things to experience. Most buildings are not available to common forks because of their price. However, Boston does provide some free museums and even only they are so attractive. The cost of living in Boston is expensive, but knowledge is easily accessible by highly educated citizens, government-administrated heritage, and libraries.
If you like history and education, Boston is definitely worth visiting, and quite a rare walkable city in the USA.
