【Travel in America #4】Harvard University

Introduction

Harvard University is so large and has tons of museums about art and history.

Harvard University

Harvard shirts are very famous and even my friend in Japan is also wearing sometimes. There was a massive Harvard store next to Harvard Square and tons of books and apparel were sold. The way they display the books is similar to Japanese bookstores.

In contrast to relatively modern MIT architecture, every Harvard building was quite traditional and so massive as brick-based structure.

Harvard Art Museum

This museum is free to every one but the museum has 3 story exhibition, and collect art from every country and era.

There were also Japan section and famous masterpiece was stored.

This is my favorite art work represent's silk, and the smooth imaginary layer was so unique.

The sculpture on white stone was detailed and the shade their bump creates were signifying their 3D structure.

Harvard Art Museum has a variety of art across the whole country and generations. The diversity of this museum is so impressive that we can feel the whole creation through this single free museum.

The Harvard Museum of Natural History

Student admission to this museum of Natural History was $10 unlike the art museum. But the collection were so massive and definitely worth visiting.

There was even 3 whales.

The taxidermy was so many. And this countless one was displayed just at the corner.

The minerals were so beautiful, and some of them were incredibly big.

Conclusion

The architecture and collection were so impressive, but they also makes the tuition more expensive. Even though the Harvard University itself where perfectly maintained, the Harvard station was so dirty. While Harvard has some great facilities, it still leaves space for improvement around.
